LFC is the default choice if you want a proper French education in Cairo. DEO is an institution. Founded 1873, around 1,300 pupils, German Auslandsschule status, Abitur at the end. It's the biggest German school in Africa or the Middle East and it carries itself that way.

MAC is a private, mostly-Egyptian American-curriculum school in New Maadi. Established 2001. Don't confuse it with Cairo American College (CAC) — different school, different price tier, different crowd.

NGIS sits on the Cairo-Ismailia Desert Road (around the 27th km), so it pulls families from Obour, Shorouk and the eastern suburbs. Founded 2003. Offers both American and British tracks, K through Grade 12.
