It's a solid mid-tier choice, not a top-tier one. Parents who like it talk about a family feel and approachable leadership. One parent described it as a place where "we're all like a family." Another flagged "great teachers... and kind principals." Kids generally seem happy in the lower years.

The wobbles show up higher up the school. A recurring theme from older students and parents is that the high school has slipped. One reviewer put it bluntly: "this was a good school about 6 or 7 years ago but each year it gets worse and worse." Specific gripes: rules feel heavy-handed, grading sometimes used as leverage, canteen food is poor and overpriced.

Staff turnover looks like a real issue. On Glassdoor only 40% of staff would recommend working there, with pay rated 2.2/5. That tends to feed through into classroom consistency, so worth asking pointed questions about teacher retention in the year group your friend's child is entering.

For an expat family: it's not the obvious pick if budget allows the bigger names in New Cairo or Maadi (CAC, BISC, Dover, NCBIS). But if the eastern-suburbs location works and they want a warmer, less corporate feel at a lower fee point, it's a reasonable shortlist school. Visit in person, sit in on a class, and ask current parents in the specific year group — the experience seems to vary a lot by stage and by teacher.
