The reputation in the area is genuinely mixed, and worth knowing before you commit.

What people like. The primary years get the warmest reviews. Parents talk about teachers who actually know the child, individual attention, a calmer feel than the big-name international schools further south. The small size is the real selling point - one parent told me their child got "outstanding focus" and the teachers were "always open" with feedback. Infrastructure (labs, sports, arts) is decent for the footprint.

What people flag. The complaints cluster around admin and the senior school. A recurring theme is that the front office "promises a lot and delivers very little," and a few parents feel the school plays favourites. The most pointed criticism is around IBDP - it's a small cohort, teacher consistency at that level has been questioned, and one parent went as far as saying their son "wasted two years" on the diploma there. Take that as a single voice, not a pattern, but it's the kind of risk to ask about directly.

Reddit specifically has very little on this school - it doesn't come up in the Mumbai threads where Oberoi, Dhirubhai, Aditya Birla and Ascend get debated. That itself tells you something about its profile.

If your friend's child is in the early/primary years and they want a smaller, less pressured environment in the western suburbs, MBIS is a reasonable shortlist candidate. If they're shopping specifically for a strong IBDP cohort and results, push hard on recent diploma scores, university placements, and IB teacher tenure before signing.
