In Brief
Quick note before you arrive.
This is a Vietnamese bilingual school, not a true international school. Worth flagging up front because the student body is overwhelmingly Vietnamese and the program is built around the national curriculum with a Cambridge stream layered on top. If you want a UK/US pathway with an expat peer group, this isn't it. If you're open to your kids being one of very few foreign families and learning Vietnamese alongside English, it's a real option.
The campus is the headline. It sits inside Ecopark, about 30 minutes south-east of central Hanoi, and it's genuinely green — roughly 70% of the site is trees and grass. Big sports facilities, modern classrooms, the works. According to one parent the facilities and green environment punch well above the fee level, which runs around 8 million VND a month all-in (tuition, lunch, bus). That's a fraction of what BIS or UNIS charge.
Three streams to know about: a "high quality" Vietnamese track, a bilingual "global citizen" track, and a Cambridge International track that goes through to A-Level. The Cambridge stream is where most international-leaning families end up. Teaching quality on the English side is mixed and depends heavily on the individual teacher — one former English teacher said the kids' English is strong enough that they take maths and science in English too, which is unusual locally.
It's a popular choice for well-off Hanoian families — actor Xuân Bắc sends his sons there, which tells you something about the domestic positioning. Atmosphere is reportedly warm and the kids seem happy. One visiting researcher remarked on "the sheer joy" around the campus.
Two honest cautions. First, there was a food poisoning episode a few years back where 90-plus kids got sick and parents pushed the school hard on kitchen sourcing — old news now but worth asking about how catering is handled today. Second, location: Ecopark is lovely but it's a commitment. If you're not living in Ecopark itself, the school bus or daily drive becomes your life.
Bottom line: strong value, beautiful campus, solid bilingual education, very Vietnamese in feel. Visit before committing, ask specifically about the Cambridge stream cohort size, and meet the homeroom teacher — that's where the real variance is.
