It's one of the original "good schools" in north Bangalore. Long-established, well-known, and people generally respect it. The campus is genuinely lovely — green, spacious, calm — which matters in this city.

Sports and extracurriculars are a real strength. Lots of coaches, lots of activity, and kids get genuine time on the field. According to one alum, the school "ensured that I received a holistic education where academics were supported with sports and several extracurricular activities." That holistic, "find your thing" feel comes up repeatedly.

On academics, the picture is more mixed. Strong students do very well and the IGCSE/A Level pathway has a solid track record sending kids abroad. But it isn't a pressure-cooker, and some parents feel the school is light-touch on academic rigour. As one parent put it bluntly, kids who are scoring "are scoring because of parents, not the school." If you want a hothouse, this isn't it. If you want a calmer, more rounded school, that's the trade.

Teacher quality is variable — the usual story of "depends on the teacher your child gets." Parent-teacher communication is generally rated well.

A few recurring grumbles worth knowing: some parents flag patchy discipline (the usual playground/peer issues), and the odd complaint about facilities maintenance (washrooms, etc.) for the fees being charged. Fees sit in the upper-mid bracket for Bangalore — broadly Rs 2.5-4.5L/year depending on grade, with IGCSE/A Levels at the top end.

Net for your friend: a credible, established, holistic school with a strong campus and sports culture. Best fit for a family that values a balanced childhood over relentless academic drilling, and whose child is reasonably self-driven. Worth visiting in person, asking specifically about the IGCSE cohort size and university outcomes, and checking the commute from where they're settling — Yelahanka traffic from south or central Bangalore is brutal.
