In Brief
Quick flag first: there are two similarly-named schools in Sharjah. ENS at Al Rahmaniya is the big purpose-built campus on the Sharjah-Ajman border, US/IB curriculum, opened 2015. The other one (TENS, near Al Nakhailat) is a CBSE Indian school. People often mix them up. Make sure your friend knows which they're touring.
Assuming it's ENS Al Rahmaniya:
The plant is genuinely impressive. Big site, four AstroTurf pitches, 25m pool, 900-seat auditorium. If facilities matter, it stands out for Sharjah. Location works well if you're north of Dubai or anywhere in the Northern Emirates — easy access without sitting in the worst traffic.
The curriculum is IB delivered over US Common Core content. SPEA rated it Good in 2023. Solid, not outstanding. It's predominantly Emirati with a meaningful expat minority, which suits some families well and is a culture mismatch for others — worth a frank conversation on the tour.
The honest weak spot is people, not facilities. Staff churn across the ENS group is high — teachers describe long hours, shifting schedules, and management that can feel top-down. According to one teacher, "management is reduced to whimsical and gossip-fed decisions." Another said hours "both at school and out of school are long." That's the staff side, but it filters through to parents as the teacher in front of your child possibly being new each year.
Parent communication gets mixed reviews. One parent said discipline is strong but "parent-teacher communication need to be improved." Another was very positive: "the dedicated staff truly empower each student to flourish." Both are probably true depending on the year and the teacher.
What to do on a visit: ask how long the homeroom and core subject teachers have been there, ask to see this year's PYP/MYP exhibitions or DP results in real numbers, and ask current parents (not the school) about responsiveness when something goes wrong. The bones are good — the experience depends heavily on which teachers your child draws.
