In Brief
Genuinely warm school with a strong local reputation. Most families who stay are happy. Long tenure is common.
The big thing to know: it is fully bilingual Czech-English, not an English-medium international school. Roughly half the curriculum, including major subjects, is taught in Czech. According to one parent, "if your children do not speak any Czech and you do not see why they should learn it, choose a different school." Take that seriously. If you are arriving without Czech and not committing to it, this is the wrong fit.
Campus is in Jesenice, about 10 minutes south of Prague. Modern facilities, forest nearby, school bus, hot lunches. Easy logistics.
Academics land well. Kids exit with both the Czech maturita and AP qualifications, and university placement is generally strong. Teachers are well-liked. One parent described it as "a fantastic, friendly, supportive place with great academic results."
Where to push in admissions: - Class sizes and growth. The school has been adding a third class per year-group. Some longer-tenured parents feel the campus is more crowded than it used to be and that fees keep rising. Ask what current class sizes are in your child's year. - The AP Diploma in the upper school. Some students describe it as effectively mandatory and stressful. Worth asking how genuinely optional it is and what the workload looks like. - Communication. A recurring grumble is patchy responses from staff on trips and timetable changes. Ask how the year group communicates with parents day-to-day. - Teacher turnover. Teacher reviews flag pay below peers and high attrition. Ask who is teaching your child's core subjects and how long they have been there.
Bottom line: if your family is committed to Czech and you want a settled, friendly, academically solid school just outside the city, it is a credible choice. If you need full English-medium international schooling, look elsewhere.
