Local, family-run school. Been in Ghatkopar since the 60s as P.G. Garodia; international arm (GICLM) opened 2003. IB Diploma plus Cambridge IGCSE. Big rooftop pool, decent labs, the campus is genuinely impressive for the area.

Academics are solid, not stellar. 100% IB pass rate, one world topper in 2022. Teachers in the IB section get consistent praise from parents — caring, attentive, know the kids.

The recurring grumble is management, not teaching. Staff reviews are sharp: one ex-employee said they saw "at least 15 employees fired for no reason" over 2.5 years. Another called it "hire and fire." Parent reviews echo a softer version — only around a third to half rate admin positively, with mentions of patchy communication and a sense that fee conversations come quickly.

Fees sit well above the Mumbai average for the year group. You're paying international-school money in a part of town that doesn't have many international-school options.

Worth knowing: in Ghatkopar East itself, the main alternative people weigh against it is The Universal School, which has a stronger community-feel reputation locally. Most families who pick Garodia do so because they live nearby, like the campus, and want IB without trekking to Bandra or BKC every day.

According to one parent, the teachers and facilities are the draw; according to one former staff member, leadership churn is the catch. If your friend's kid is going into the IB Diploma years, this is probably a fine choice. For the early years, worth visiting Universal too before deciding.
