In Brief

PES sits in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, the dense, predominantly South Asian quarter of Farwaniya. It opened in 1995. It is K-12 and runs a British curriculum, but in Grades 9-12 students can pick FBISE (Pakistani federal board) or IGCSE. That choice is the main thing to understand about this school.

It is genuinely a community school, not a glossy international one. The student body is overwhelmingly Pakistani diaspora. Fees are low by Kuwait standards (roughly KWD 366-504 per year), which is why it is full and why families stay loyal across siblings.

Honest read on parent sentiment: there is very little independent online chatter — no Reddit threads of substance, no major review-site visits. What exists is mostly on the school's own Facebook page (around 86% recommend across a small number of reviews) and aggregator testimonials. Tone there is warm and grateful rather than analytical. According to one parent, "the team is hard-working… my kid wants to come to school every day." Another, with three sons enrolled, said simply that "they are all happy and enjoy studying in PES." Take that for what it is — supportive, not stress-tested.

What this means for your friend in practice: - If the family wants a Pakistani cultural anchor, Urdu, Islamic studies, and the option to slot back into Pakistan's system, PES does that job well and cheaply. - If they want a fully international peer mix or a school that will set up an Oxbridge/Russell Group-style A-level pathway, this is not that school. The IGCSE track is real but the centre of gravity is FBISE. - Jleeb traffic and the surrounding area are a serious daily factor. If they are not living in Farwaniya, the commute is the first thing to test before anything else. - Class sizes are large. Expect a busy, lively environment rather than boutique attention.

Bottom line: a solid, no-frills community school doing a useful job for the Pakistani expat market in Kuwait. Right fit for some families, clearly wrong fit for others — the curriculum choice and the location are the two questions to answer first.
