If you want Barcelona's top IB results in a genuinely non-profit school that feels like a community rather than a business, Oak House is the clear first choice. Fees are the lowest of the top three and include lunch - but places at mid-primary are hard to get.

Oak House sits at the top of the Barcelona IB table: a 36.0 average in 2025, ranked first in Spain. Non-profit foundation, seven-parent Board of Governors, and 2% annual staff turnover (average tenure 11 years) - this is an unusually stable school. The campus is in Sarria, an easy walk from Diagonal and the upper Eixample.

Families who choose Oak House often stay from age 3 through to IB graduation, and long-term enrolment is the norm - parents should know that mid-entry places, particularly at Year 5 and Year 8, can be scarce. The school is genuinely trilingual (English, Spanish, Catalan) with French or German available as a fourth language.

Fees include lunch, day trips, and first-sitting official exam costs - unusually good value for what you get. The campus is compact and dated in places; a primary building refurbishment is planned for 2026. Staff turnover dropped 83% in the senior school in one year after a four-year pay deal; a more settled teaching team follows.
